Cville Design House 2015

Oh, dear readers, I have been neglecting my posting! But it is only because I have been working diligently on a book (more on that in a later post).

Today I would like to share some photos of the 2015 Cville Design House benefiting Shelter for Help in Emergency. This is my fourth year participating in the fundraiser.

This year yours truly was assigned the living room and the entry way. I know, I know! I'll try to live up to your expectations! Here are some photos of the house and my space.

The house is in Earlysville and has a French Country feel.
Okay, so the yard was obviously photoshopped since it wasn't yet landscaped at the time of the photo.

This is the 20' window in the living room!
And today I had my window treatments installed.
But you must visit me at the Design House to see them!

This is the entryway directly opposite the 20' window.

The room is not very large, so I'll be using it as an intimate salon.

This is the lovely stairway that leads to a bridge that overlooks the living room.

I decided to design the space with a retro 1930's French feel, hence the club chairs.
Here is my design board.

The settee is by Paula Deen and very comfy.

Love this chair! It is very comfortable!
Thanks to Grand Home Furnishings in Cville for lending
me the chair and the settee. Every year Grand is extremely
generous with lending me items for the Design House.
I couldn't do the house without them!

This is the Soho chair from Ethan Allen.
The Richmond Ethan Allen store has been very generous in lending me items.
You  also get a peak at my rug in this photo that was
lent to me by Frank S. Eways Oriental Rugs.
That's all for now!

Until next time...
